The handover between the prefects entering and leaving the Djerem Division took place Monday, January 04, 2021 under the auspices of the Governor of the Adamawa region Kildadi Taguieke Boukar.
The outgoing prefect Mr. Bernard Djiomo officially passed the torch to the incoming prefect DJADAI YAKOUB appointed by decree n ° Decree n ° 2020/758 of December 18, 2019 appointing prefects.

The new prefect of Djerem asked the traditional authorities and religious leaders to help him accomplish his task and further urged the population to participate in its dynamic, "an administration close to the administered through decentralization".
