"Forgotten" Santa Sees Development As Political Icon Goes Home







One will quickly notice that alot of changes have taken place in some particular areas in Santa Centre, as Mourners prepare themselves to bid farewell to the Political Icon, Simon Achidi Achu, on Saturday 3rd July 2021.



Northwest Governor, Adolphe Lele LAfrique has Inspected works in Santa centre, that will accomodate "these mourners" expected to arrive in the early hours of July 3rd 2021, to enjoy the renovations made to lay to rest a Hero.



Most Indegenes in Santa will attest to the fact that such changes will not come to the dilapitating structures or roads leading to the deceased hometown, if not of his death, a sad thing to wish anyone in order to provoke development of an area.

The member of Parliament for Mezam South, Hon. KUMASI made a request that the Minister of Water and Energy should disburse funds, so that stakeholders should go dig bore holes, knowing fully well that people will leave Yaoundé for Santa, only to discover that there is no water in Santa.

Different Class of Northwest Elite and personalities across the nation and beyond, bid farewell to Simon Achidi Achu in the best of ways through the Virgils organized abroad and in Yaoundé, while expecting he will be given a befitting burial in his native town.




The remains of Simon Achidi Achu, former Prime Minister has been removed from the Yaounde General Mortuary. Expected to arrive Santa subdivision in Mezam, Bamenda-Northwest Region on July 3rd Morning.

87 year old Achidi Achu who died on 4th May 2021 in California, USA is due an official burial this weekend in his native Santa, according to a presidential decree signed by the Head of State, President Paul Biya on 28th June 2021.
