PROCIVIS sensitize population on importance of civil status documents



A one day Sensitization campaign to encourage the population to rush for civil status documents; birth certificates, death certificates and marriage certificates has taken place in Bamenda, North West Region of Cameroon today.


The Active Citizens Strengthening Program ( PROCIVIS) is engaged in facilitating civil status documents for those who are in need of one together with those who lost theirs.


Most have complained that, theirs were destroyed in fire as a result of the crisis. Others escaped for safety and consequently, lacked the adequate finances to purchase one.


Present at the event was the organization's communication officer, Tarchenyuy Cynthia who briefed the population on the importance of these documents and the procedure involved in getting the said documents.

At the end of the campaign, over 25 people got engaged and, saw the need and importance of acquiring to these documents.
