Adamawa: Raising awareness, Revitalizing Agro pastoral activities



Martin Paul Mindjos Momeny, a man from the agro-pastoral field had been on a mission to listen, raise awareness and revitalize the Chamber of Agriculture, Fisheries, Livestock and Forests of Cameroon.

On September 30, 2022, the agro pastoralist was in Ngaoundéré to sensitize farmers and breeders in the region on the object of his visit to the region.


The visit took place at the practical zootechnical and agricultural school in Hangloa located about twenty kilometers from Ngaoundéré in the department of Vina.


The President of the Chamber of Agriculture, Fisheries, Livestock and Forests of Cameroon, Martin Paul Mindjos Momeny paid a working visit to Adamawa same day in Provence de Garoua in the north.

A session with farmers and breeders in the region known as the country's cattle herd took place, in the presence of the Secretary General of the Adamawa regional services and the forces of the law and order in the region. 

The visit was part of the dynamics of making contact between Capef and local structures, in order to collect the concerns of nationals, members and the general public of the agro-sylvo-pastoral and fisheries sector, who operate in the region. 


It was also an opportunity for agricultural actors, to say all the difficulties they encounter on the field, in particular the difficult access to fertilizer. To crown the visit, dignitaries went to some dairy processing center in the department of Vina.

The president visited the site of the beneficiaries of capef skills in this school of training. Located about twenty kilometers from Ngaoundéré in the department of Vina, a school that already has 48 learners who, as part of a training program developed by Capef in partnership with the European Union, produce milk. This is thanks to the dairy cows provided by Minepia.
