Mounouna Foutsou condoles with former Deputy Prime Minister, Amadou Ali's Familly



The Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education had exchanges with Cavaye Yeguié Djibril and the Sultan of Mémé after his arrival in Kolofata-Far North Region, to take part in the funeral of Amadou Ali, former Deputy Prime Minister, Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Relations with the Assemblies.


Mounouna Foutsou paid a courtesy visit to the President of the National Assembly, the Right Honorable Cavaye Yeguié Djibril, an elite of the Far North region, and to the sultan of Mémé.

On October 4th, Defense Minister, Joseph BETI ASSOMO, personal representative of the Head of State, Paul Biya, presided over this ceremony marked by allowances from personalities, representatives and religious dignitaries.

The Mayor of Kolofata welcomed distinguished delegations. MINJEC returned in particular to the exploits and achievements of this high clerk of the State loyal to the institutions and to the President of the Republic.

Prayer sessions, one of the highlights of this ceremony, were held by the Muslim community at the Kolofata mosque at the place of the deceased, who died on September 27, 2022.

Various religious dignitaries succeeded each other at the pulpit in order to commend the soul of the deceased to Alah.

Delegations of Chad and Nigeria
Were represented and in their speech expressed sadness that inhabits the entire Chadian delegation. According to him, the deceased was a real man of paramount importance for Cameroon, Chad, Nigeria and Niger.

The representative of the Nigerian delegation expressed all the desolation and consternation that is theirs. The Prefect of Mayo-Sava delivered the message of condolences from the President of the Republic, Paul Biya, to the family of the deceased.

The image of the deceased was painted as an exemplary senior civil servant, dedicated to the task and strongly attached to republican values. Immediately after this message of condolence from the Head of State, the deceased received a posthumous decoration.

Defense Minister, Joseph BETI ASSOMO the personal representative of the Head of State and his retinue went to the family vault for the deposit of the sheaf of flowers.
