The Cameroonian Minister of Youth and Civic Education chaired the closing of the said coordination retreat, where a road map was adopted for the year 2024.
The roadmap provided in particular, the harmonization of Pronec strategies between the different ministerial departments.
Youth Affairs Minister, Mounouna Foutsou recalled the role of traditional authorities in the deployment of the program at the local level. Mobile animation teams, attached to neighborhood leaders, will be responsible for local awareness raising.
The objective of Pronec is to place education for responsible citizenship at the heart of the Cameroonian education system. To train future generations in respect of national values and their identity.
Meeting on a coordination retreat in Nkolnda, the National Program for Civic Education through Moral, Civic and Entrepreneurial Rearmament draws the roadmap of its actions for 2024.
In the coordinator's speech, Paschal Kum Awah recalls that each ministerial department has developed its Pronec action plan. He also greets the minister, confirming that the coordination has successfully integrated the missions of Minjec.
An ambitious roadmap for 2024
Among the resolutions adopted: the harmonization of Pronec strategies and their inclusion in the ministry's 2024 action plan, in accordance with presidential instructions.
For his part, Minister Mounouna Foutsou encourages the implementation of departmental plans, to strengthen the influence of Pronec in the administration and communities.
Traditional leaders, cornerstone of local deployment. Traditional rulers will chair mobile teams for urban and rural popular animation.
With this program, the government intends to place civic and moral education at the heart of its educational strategy.
