Taking place on January 10 2024 in
Yaoundé at the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Education, the award goes to Minister Mounouna Foutsou in recognition of his efforts of promoting Cameroonian youths and the integration of diasporan youths.
“This award is recognition of the efforts that the Minister of Youth and Civic Education, Mounouna Foutsou, is making towards Cameroonian youth, but also the diaspora in need, the concern for return and integration of this youth of the diaspora. Even more so within the framework of the national integration of the people who have an increased desire from diaspora to return and provide their cornerstone in the building of Cameroon".
"It is also an award of recognition and excellence of the work done by the Minister to implement the policy of the President of the Republic, Paul Biya in the field of youth and national integration ,” said Anselme Epoko Epoko, National Coordinator of the return and integration assistance program for young people from the Diaspora.
A concept initiated by Afrique Love Association to examine how those who are part of the diaspora can act together to return to develop Cameroon. While the subject of the diaspora still generates much ink and saliva both in terms of dual nationality and the commitment of this diaspora to come and invest in Cameroon.
The fact remains that certain Cameroonians living abroad foreigners shine through their actions by promoting the country.
As part of the review of the activities of the Cameroonian diaspora month which was held from December 5, 2023 to January 7, 2024, Serges Firmin Tchuimegueu, head of the Asia Zone division and head of delegation, said that this concept was initiated by Afrique Love Association, to examine how those who are part of the diaspora can act together to return to develop Cameroon.
It is in this spirit that Mounouna Foutsou, after receiving this distinction, expressed her recognition and satisfaction and invited the actors of the Cameroonian diaspora to return home.
