Bamenda 2 D.O Installed, despite Health and Security Challenges



 Nicolas Nkongho has been installed to Office by the Senior Divisional Officer for Mezam, Simon Emile Mooh and given task to fight the health and Security challenges faced in his jurisdiction.


The SDO was speaking at the installation of the new D.O on Thursday 2nd July 2020, in the Presence of the Mayor, MP, Councilors and Elites, who together have been manadated to work hand in glove for the return of Peace .


Nicholas Nkongho, was madated by the SDO for Mezam to create a task force in the Etat major, in collaboration with the elites, to follow up the strict barrier measures put in place by Government to guard against the disease, especially the wearing of face mask.

"Ensure that civil servant are present at their duty post
Encourage functioning of vigilante groups, to enable the community take charge of their on security, Promoting living together amogst inhabitants of the subdivision and
Promote hygiene n sanitation."

"Ensure the normal functioning of land consultative board and  traditional chiefatncy, encouraging traditional rulers to come back to their various places" SDO said.

He further challenged the DO to all on his powers to curb the sale.of illicit fuel which is rampant on the streets of Bamenda. Drug abuse by teenagers is also a call for concern

In his welcome address, Bamenda II Mayor, Chenwi Peter, promised the DO they will work hand-in-hand to improve the standard of living of Denizens of the Municipality

Nicolas Nkongho had previously served as second Assistant prefect for Boyo and Donga Mantung. He served Belo subdivision as DO before his transfer on June 10 to Bamenda II

Nicolas Nkongho takes over from Akwo Rocsegnol who has been transferred to Muyuka subdivision in the same capacity
