Youth Day 2022: Youth Affairs Minister Visits Zina, Supports Youths In Rice Cultivation



This group of about twenty young people specialized in the production and marketing of rice received significant support from the Minister of Youth, consisting of, among other things, tricycles, sprayers, wheelbarrows, a multifunctional brushcutter, and fertilizer.

After launching the 56th edition of Youth activities in that part of the Country, the Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education continued his journey within the framework of the "eleven" of youth, in the Far North region.

On February 2nd 2022, Minister
Mounouna Foutsou went to the town of Zina, a locality located in the Logone and Chari division. He is accompanied by the governor of the Far North region, Midiyawa Bakari.

Zina is a locality specialized in rice production and marketing, during the Minister's visit a group of about twenty young people belonging to the rice processing/husking and grading links, water suppliers and maintenance, provision of agricultural services, processing/production of rice flour recieved support.



The Youth Affairs Minister provided them with support consisting; tricycles, Vakson motor sprayers, wheelbarrows, a multifunctional brushcutter, a sprayer and fertiliser.

The President of the National Youth Council of Cameroon, representing Zina, thanked the Minister for the support described as weapons against unemployment, excessive consumption of alcohol, banditry, and terrorism.

Mahamat Oumar made a commitment, on behalf of all the young people of the locality, not to disappoint the minister and to make good use of it.

The 56th edition of the youth festival is celebrated this year under the theme "youth and voluntary participation in the challenges of Cameroon" and within this same context, the Minister for Youth Affairs and Civic Education will also preside over the closing ceremony of the inter-generational forum on peace and living together in the Logone valley.
