Trade Unionism: CJTU's National EXCO Maiden Outing yields pregnant outcome

The Minister of Labour and Social Security has recieved the National Executive Bureau of the Cameroon Journalists Trade Union (CJTU), this Wednesday, July 13, 2022.

Lead by Marion Obam, President of CJTU National, focus on exchanges were the 5th congress of SNJC and in general the problems of the press.

The Minister, Grégoire Owona promised to support the National Union of Journalists of Cameroon in its mission to improve the working and living conditions of Cameroonian journalists.

It is worthy to note that this is the first move made by the new national executive body of CJTU since they were voted into office in June 2022.

It is hoped that with the outcome of the meeting and word from the Labour Minister, some changes will observed in the months ahead partaining to the working and living conditions of Cameroonian journalists, most especially those of the private sector.

Elections took place on Saturday June 25th 2022, few weeks later CJTU members across the national territory are already hearing, reading and feeling the actions of Marion Obam, National President CJTU.
