Vaccination Campaign against Poliomyelitis 2025: North-West Digital Actors take central stage in educating the masses

Digital Actors in Bamenda, North-West Region of Cameroon have attended a briefing ahead of the first round of the Poliomyelitis Vaccination Campaign scheduled for April 24th to 27th 2025.

The briefing held on April 19th, 2025 facilitated by Madam Ngon Yvette Ndey, Chief of the Communication Unit EPI North-West Region, under the Coordination of Dr. Cornelius Chebo who is the Regional Cordo for the Expanded Program on Immunization North-West Region.

The National Immunization Days against Poliomyelitis Epidemic round 1 will take place from April 24th to 27th and Digital actors through the briefing needed to have a grasp of what is expected of them.

Sensitizing the population on what Poliomyelitis is all about, how it can be got or prevented, the importance of the Polio Vaccines and also educating the population about the target audience of the vaccine, children below 5years.

Digital actors are each expected to have an elaborated diffusion plan, a plan that clearly describes how the Polio vaccine will be administered. Not forgetting Principal hashtags as spelled out by EPI.
