Boma Tangie George is his name, he is now the new Fon of the Baforkum people. Baforkum chiefdom is a third class chiedom and the community hieves a sigh of relief after their Fon was presented to administration and locals of village in a grand ceremony.
In the advent of the ongoing crisis, the predecessor of the New Fon was killed by seperatists fighters and in recent times, calm is gradually returning to that part of the region and the community smiles again after almost 3 years and more with no leader.
The palace was sealed but as at now, it is open. This reporter can confirm the thrown now has a new occupant.
The new Fon has been presented to administration, after due consultations and deliberations.

Some challenges faced by the community were highlighted during the enthronement; the people are faced with lack of basic amenities such as: Water, electricity amongst others.
Born on December 28th 1966, succeeds Akuma Atsei II who ruled for 7 years.
History holds that the Baforkum people in 1912 relocated from Mbei Village in Santa subdivision to settle in Tubah following a warm reception by Fon Atsei Yifor II ruler of the Bambui Fondom.
The new Fon is expected to unite his people and carry out development that will show prove dof the Baforkum people turning a new leaf, despite security challenges.
