Bamenda III Council Provides Farm Inputs, Motivates Great Harvest

The efforts of farmers within Bamenda III municipality have been greesed by the Mayor of the Bamenda III Council Fonguh Cletus, offering farm inputs to improve on their harvest and giving hope the farmers who have taken agriculture as their main activity to dwell on it with confidence.

At a time when the work force, youths have moved to bigger cities in search for greener pastures and with the farming season in the Bamenda III municipality is gaining new grounds, a good number of farmers in the municipality have benefited from the distribution of some farm inputs like organic manure , fertilizers, farm seads like maize beans and farm tools like marchines, hoes, cutlasses just to name a few.

These items were distributed on April 14th 2021 at the explanade of the Bamenda III Council, an initiative meant to encourage the farmers of the municipality to stay in the practice despite the challenges face due to the ongoing socio-political crisis in the Northwest And Southwest regions of the country. 

The Mayor envisages an Agro Pastoral show in the month of December which will be competitive, to see if the farmers have put into use the items benefitted. 

The farmers expressing joy, applauded the gesture by the Bamenda III Council through the Mayor Fonguh Cletus promising to stay in the practice despite the challenges faced on double front and also to put the items given to them into use.
