The Minister of Youth and Civic Education, Mounouna Foutsou, celebrated the 42nd anniversary of Paul Biya's accession to the supreme office, by communicating with RDPC activists in Mayo-Danay, inciting solidarity and in unity with a view to the upcoming elections.
It is under the theme of national unity and cohesion that Mounouna Foutsou, representative of the RDPC, galvanized the Mayo-Danay activists on November 6, 2024 in Yagoua. The gathering marked the birthday of the head of state, Paul Biya, and aimed to strengthen ties between party members to prepare for the next electoral events.
Pierre Lirawa, mayor of Yagoua, highlighted the resilience of the section in the face of challenges, including the recent floods that hit the region. He recalled the RDPC's support for the population, mentioning the provision of school and food kits to encourage schooling. “Our mobilization is concrete proof of our attachment to the ideals of the party,” he said, welcoming Paul Biya’s initiative to cover the examination costs of CM2 students.
Mounouna Foutsou particularly insisted on the importance of youth, urging young people to seize the opportunities offered by the State. Quoting Perfect Mininamou, author of the book Paul Biya: artisan of enterprising youth, the minister encouraged young people to be bold and innovative. “Dare to create, each in their own field,” he insisted, describing Mayo-Danay as a breeding ground for “fighting spirit”.
In Tchatibali, another stronghold of Mayo-Danay, the celebration also brought together many activists, confirming the region as an unshakeable force for national renewal. The interventions called for the consolidation of ranks, emphasizing the importance of solidarity and commitment around “Great Comrade” Paul Biya.
The minister highlighted the president's initiatives aimed at developing the region, including the establishment of a pioneer village and support for young entrepreneurs. Mounouna Foutsou reiterated the call for active participation of youth to transform Mayo-Danay into a breeding ground for national entrepreneurs. “Together, we can build a prosperous and stable Cameroon,” he concluded, continuing the ideals of President Paul Biya.
The 42nd anniversary event was an opportunity to strengthen membership in the CPDM, recalling the values of unity, peace and progress. The renewed commitment of activists, the will of young people and support for local initiatives have illustrated the sustainability and strength of the Renewal advocated by Paul Biya.
