MINSANTE Visits West Region, Comforts Victims of Dshang Accident

Minister of Public Health, Dr Manaouda Malachie

The Minister of Public Health Dr. Manaouda Malachie has come to the end of his 2 days working visit to the West region, where he visited victims of the Dschang accident and abreast himself with their health situation.

He embarked on this visit to console the wounded victims, while being prudent in ensuring that Covid19 measures are respected in the West region. The Minister remains confident that the population of the West are conscious about the existence of the Covid19 and the resurgence of its 2nd phase.

He continued calling on medical personnels to keep barrier measures and stay vigilant, while emphasizing on the need for more sensitization to be done to keep the population alert at all times.

The Convoy left Yaoundé at about 4pm on February 1st 2021 and was recieved by the Governor of the West, Awa Fonka Augustine at about 8pm same day. The Minister visited the district hospital in Dschang and the regional hospital Bafoussam, to see survivors of the Dschang accidenr.

His visit ended with a work session held with the regional Control team for Covid19 headed by the Regional Delegate for Public Health West, Dr Chinmoun Daouda, and all district heads in the West region in order to lay more emphasis on what needs to be done to curb the spread of the virus.
