As part of measures to spread peace through communication, the Civil Peace Service of Bread for the World organized a 5- day workshop on radio drama production on the theme "Radio Drama: A Veritable Tool for the Promotion of Peace".

The workshop which was held at the PCC Synod office in Buea brought together 17 CPS partner organizations from all over the country.

Opening the training workshop, was the representative of the Moderator of the PCC in Cameroon, the National Peace Coordinator and Rev. Nta William Nche who disclosed that the workshop is coming at a time when, there is need for all avenues to be exploited to preach peace, with radio drama being one of them.

During the 5-day training workshop, the participants were drilled on peace, peacebuilding, conflict, history of radio drama, elements of a good script amongst others by Julius Nzang and Achaleke Christian, who were the main facilitators.

At the end of the training workshop, the participants produced a 3-hour radio drama piece titled " A Cry for Peace". The radio drama was geared towards promoting peace and social cohesion in society.

At the end of the workshop, Ntui Oben Obi Agbor, CPS National Coordinator, urged the participants to carry the knowledge gotten from the workshop to their various organizations and educate people through drama on the necessity for peace.

The participants divided themselves into groups wherein they brought forth ways of fostering peace-oriented radio drama such as producing dramas with peace messages and performing on national and international days which tie to the themes.
