MINJEC, MTN sign partnership agreement



Signed on July 7, 2022 in Yaoundé between the Minister of Youth affairs and Civic Education, Mounouna Foutsou and Stephen Blewett, Managing Director of MTN Cameroon, aims primarily to target young people aged 15 to 35 and holders of the biometric youth card.

These persons are seen fit to occupy services and being personnel of the central, decentralized services attached and under the supervision of the Ministry of Youth and Education. civic (Minjec). 

The CEO of MTN Cameroon Stephen Blewett said that the choice of MTN Cameroon is the best in the implementation of innovative technological solutions to support young people and the Cameroonian government.

Minister Mounouna Foutsou for his part expressed his satisfaction at the outcome of this emerging partnership and indicated that the partnership will contribute to the facilitation of procedures and activities of connection, interconnection, awareness and digital governance throughout the national territory and beyond.

This agreement emphasizes the social and economic integration of young people; the sensitization of young people for the fight against social evils; the promotion of the biometric youth card as a lever for youth empowerment and finally the interconnection of central and decentralized services of the Minjec. 

This partnership agreement will be valid for a period of three years, renewable at the express request of one of the parties.
