Mounouna Foutsou Triumphs in Home town Yagoua.

Favor marked the return of the Minister of Youth and Civic Education, Mounouna Foutsou, to his native department of Mayo-Danay, following the recent events in Brussels.

This massive mobilization demonstrated the unwavering support of the population for this servant of the Republic.

Upon his arrival, Mounouna Foutsou was carried in triumph by a conquered population, determined to express their solidarity and demonstrate their rejection of political violence.

This powerful moment was followed by a citizens' march of more than five kilometers through the city, an act both symbolic and committed to reminding people that Cameroonian democracy is based on peace and stability.

Far from being a simple gathering, this mobilization reaffirmed the people of Mayo-Danay's support for republican institutions and their commitment to the values of social cohesion.

The young people, gathered under the banner of the National Youth Council and the Paramouv movement (the Patriots of the Anti-Violence Movement), strongly expressed their support for the minister, emphasizing their desire to contribute to a stable and prosperous Cameroon.

Laurent Tonwe, one of the local leaders, emphasized the importance of this movement, shuning acts of violence against the Minister and encourage the Youths of his hometown to rally behind him.

He stated that the young people are wholeheartedly with the Minister of Youth and Civic Education. Here, the commitment is made to all-out support but also a commitment to respecting the institutions of the Republic and those who embody them.

"They thought they were doing you harm, but you are emerging from this situation stronger, we are proud of you," he concluded.

As a reminder, on February 28 and March 3, 2025, the official Cameroonian delegation led by Mounouna Foutsou, Minister of Youth and Civic Education, was attacked in Brussels, Belgium, in the presence of HE Daniel Evina Abe'e, Cameroon's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium and the European Union.

These barbaric acts were claimed by the Anti-Sardinard Brigade (BAS). Never before had a senior Cameroonian official of this rank experienced such an attack.

An interfaith prayer of thanksgiving was said for the safe return of Minister Mounouna Foutsou.

Christians also joined their prayers with others to entrust Cameroon and its authorities, first and foremost the Head of State, HE Paul Biya.

"I was surprised by this exceptional mobilization, a mobilization that demonstrates support for the institutions of the Republic and for the President of the Republic. I thank you for this mobilization", MINJEC.
