Minister Felix Mbayu, Delegate to the Minister of External Relations, North-West Elite has carried President Paul Biya’s message of peace, unity, and development to the Muslim community of Old Town Bamenda ahead of the October 12, 2025 presidential election.
Speaking at the Grand Mosque on October 4, the Minister commended the Muslim faithful and CPDM supporters for their consistent commitment to peace and harmony. He acknowledged their unwavering support for the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM), describing them as a pillar of stability and discipline in Bamenda’s sociopolitical landscape.
Addressing worshippers and community leaders, Minister Mbayu praised the Muslim community for their steadfast loyalty to the CPDM, even during difficult times. He reminded them of their remarkable turnout during the Prime Minister’s recent visit, despite the heavy rain, as evidence of their devotion and belief in the ruling party’s vision.
“The Muslim community has always stood firm with the CPDM. You have demonstrated loyalty through thick and thin,” he said, encouraging them to remain united as the election approaches.
The Minister also used the occasion to highlight the government’s tangible contributions to Old Town, pointing to projects such as the construction of an Islamic school and the tarring of internal roads—initiatives he credited to President Biya’s inclusive development agenda.
He urged the faithful not to be deceived by political opportunists, stressing that their current benefits are a result of the President’s steady leadership.
“The good things you enjoy are the fruits of President Biya’s work,” he emphasized. “Vote for the man who delivers, who keeps the peace, and who builds—vote for Paul Biya.”
