Festival Tonka Massana 2025 in Nkoteng, Sharing a feeling of Revival

Nkoteng is in the Center region of Cameroon celebrating Massana tradition during the Tonka mini-festival.

A prelude to the 10th edition of this major cultural gathering which will be held in Bongor, Chad, in December. This celebration helped strengthen ties between the Massa communities of Cameroon and Chad, while highlighting their rich cultural heritage.

The Nkoteng Municipal Stadium was the scene of a unique cultural effervescence during the Mini-Festival Tokna Massana 2025.

Chaired by the governor of the Center region, Naseri Paul Béa, in the presence of Mounouna Foutsou, Massa elite and minister of Youth and Civic Education, this meeting brought together more than 2,000 participants.

Placed under the sign of sharing and living together, the event allowed the Massa of the two countries to celebrate their ancestral values.

The exchanges between 18 traditional Massa chiefs and their counterparts from the Haute-Sanaga department marked a strong moment. They emphasized national integration and peaceful coexistence, principles dear to this festival.

Songs, dances, traditional fights, notably the famous Guruna fight, and other artistic demonstrations punctuated these festive days.
